Dr. Linda Gronberg-Quinn completed her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership for Changing Populations through Notre Dame University of Maryland and serves as the Director of Teacher Education at the Community College of Baltimore County where she has worked for 19 years. Linda has served on the NACCTEP Executive Board for the past seven years, starting as Member-at-Large through Secretary and Vice President to her current second year as President. As a first-generation college student who grew up in the area where she currently teaches, Linda feels she can reach those students on a more personal level.

Vice President
Shannon was born in Charleston, S.C. and spent the better part of her childhood moving around the country, as her father was in the Air Force, but has lived in Maryland since 2000. Shannon has been working at the Community College of Baltimore County since 2012, in both the Academic Literacy Department and most recently in Teacher Education Department. Prior to coming to work at CCBC, Shannon was a high school special education teacher in Anne Arundel County, and has taught for 20 years.
Shannon completed her undergraduate education at the University of Washington, a Masters of Arts in Teaching at Goucher College in the area of Special Education, and a Masters in Education from Concordia University-Portland with a concentration as a Reading Specialist. Shannon is currently a doctoral student at Concordia University Chicago, seeking a degree in Leadership in Higher Education. Shannon recognizes the importance of progressive Teacher education programs in order for students to become the next generation of teacher candidates. Shannon seeks to write her dissertation on the need for solid support of new teachers for the first three years of their employment in a school or with a district.

Jennifer Gresko brings more than 25 years of experience in education and education leadership, beginning as a second- and third-grade teacher in Phoenix. Always eager to learn, she says, she began mentoring other teachers on campus in the use of technology in education, and eventually took a position at the district level working with teachers and technology.
This experience opened up a new path at the college level, which led to her current position as Faculty Chair of Educator Preparation Programs at Rio Salado College. The Educator Preparation Programs at Rio Salado College are designed for working adults who want to enter the teaching profession or continue their professional development in preK-12 education. She previously held positions as a school district technology trainer K – 3, and as a program specialist in curriculum and assessment. Jennifer holds a BS in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University, and M.Ed in Elementary Education – Specialization in Educational Media and Computing and an Ed.D in Leadership and Innovation from Arizona State University.

Presidential Representative
Native of Madison, Wisconsin, Dr. Jose Fierro grew up in Bogota, Colombia. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Applied Sciences in Bogotá, Colombia, and a Master of Science degree in leadership and management of educational programs from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Fierro also holds a doctorate degree in higher education leadership from Northcentral University in Prescott, Arizona.
Dr. Fierro joined Cerritos College as the President/Superintendent in 2015. Prior to that, he served as the vice president of academic affairs and chief academic officer at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Under Dr. Fierro’s leadership, the College launched Cerritos Complete, the College’s official California College Promise program. Cerritos Complete is one of 10 community college programs in the nation selected as a finalist for the 2018 Bellwether Award.

In that role, her responsiblities included supervising the advanced manufacturing programs at PCC's Swan Island Trades Center as well as PCC's Maritime Welding Training Center which trains welding students and has MOA's with Vigor Industrial.
Her community services includes serving on the Board of Directors of Portland Community Reinvestment Initiatives and on the advisory board of the Oregon Association of Minority Entrepreneurs, as well as being an active member of the Partners in Diversity Leadership Council and the Oregon Presidents Council of the Oregon Community College Association.
Dr. Edwards earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology and her master's degree in Higher Education Administration at State University of New York at Albany, and her doctorate degree in Educational Leadership at Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island.

Currently working for Ferris State University in Michigan where he advises, does teacher candidate placement, and teaches Methods classes. Jeff believes that quality educational opportunities for everyone are the last chance we have as a nation to preserve our Democracy. He loves the idea of collaborations with Community Colleges to maintain an easy and effective path for all students to obtain a teaching certificate and make a powerful impact in their community.

Phillip S. Rogers, Ed.D., became executive director of NASDTEC on July 1, 2012. Prior to coming to NASDTEC, Rogers served the Kentucky Education Professional Standards Board (EPSB). His tenure at the EPSB spanned over 12 years including serving seven and half years as its executive director. Before his tenure at the EPSB, Rogers served as the founding director of the Allen County Schools Family Resource Center, recognized in 1995 as Kentucky's Outstanding Family Resource Center by the Kentucky Association of Guidance Counselors. Prior to founding the Family Resource Center, Rogers directed the Allen County public mental health clinic. There, he specialized as a child and family therapist
A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Rogers received a B.S. degree in counseling from Liberty University in Virginia, an M.A. in child development from Western Kentucky University, and a doctorate in education evaluation and research from the University of Louisville.

Dr. Cecelia Monto serves as Dean of Education, Languages and Social Sciences at Chemeketa Community College. She has been instrumental in building a community college/ university pathway into teacher education in the State of Oregon, which was approved in June, 2020. Monto's leadership experience in strategic program development, policy formation, articulation work, curriculum development, assessment and accreditation, and budget/grant development as well as her teaching in Education, Humanities, and Student Success courses ground her administration work in a faculty perspective. Monto has demonstrated ongoing commitment to equity work in her college and in her state. She sits on the Governor's committee for Educator Equity and is actively working to diversify the teaching workforce by initiating a pathway into teacher education for bilingual/ bicultural students at Chemeketa. She also received a grant as the first college in the state to bring the Oregon Seal of Biliteracy opportunity to Heritage Spanish speakers at Chemeketa, which gives students a valuable state recognized credential that honors their linguistic assets. Monto see the community college option as a critical opportunity to create equitable access to education. She presents regularly at conferences and has authored articles on the topics of increasing diversity and improving access in the community college venue.

Heather Hinkle has enjoyed more than 20 years in the field of Education. She began as an instructional assistant and then became a special education teacher. Specializing in autism and related developmental disabilities, she moved into private practice as the Autism Services Manager for the Monocacy Neurodevelomental Center. From there, she transitioned to Blue Ridge Behavioral Health Services and supported the special needs community as an Educational Consultant and Advocate. Along the way, she began teaching college courses as an adjunct professor. This enabled her to enter higher education administration in her current position as the Education Program Coordinator at Frederick Community College. It is her belief that Community Colleges are able to reach and support individuals who will be impactful teachers.

She began her career as an elementary school teacher with the Kyrene School District and after hosting a student teacher realized that training teachers was her true passion. Shortly thereafter she began her career with Rio Salado College and is currently the Coordinator of Instructional Programs within the Educator Preparation Program. She works with a team of talented individuals designing curriculum, training adjunct faculty, coaching program supervisors, and helping all teacher candidates find their passion working with K-12 students.
